#Book Review - #3.75Stars - Hope for Harmony: Baby-Makers vs. Peter Pans by D. Pichardo-Johansson

Updated: Oct 21, 2018

Today's unusual #BookReview! 😊

A grittier Bridget Jones' Diary without the Diary.

A philosophical debate.

This book is not your typical feel-good read. But if you can get past the unusually argumentative tone in places, this book lays out some of the key points in the singles versus parenthood debate.

“For the more adventurous reader who prefers unusual or out-of-the-ordinary reads.” - Chick Lit Shop

Hope and her consulting business friends have a myriad of reasons why they have consciously have chosen singlehood & no children. Their latest consulting project takes them to a business that emphasizes families almost to the exclusion of singles.

Everything is over the top.

The arguments between the groups are quite heated at times (and therefore a little uncomfortable to read), but the author also appears to allow a voice to the raw cries of the heart under the arguments, for both sides.

The romance, in between the arguments, is light and enjoyable, and the best part.

If you don't mind a different kind of read, and enjoy women's fiction, Hope's heart-rending backstory will have you rooting for her success, in both life and love.

#3.75Stars.

I voluntarily reviewed a free ARC of this book to provide an honest review.

Enjoy this unusual book! 😃❤📚
